Michael Raisch

SENIOR DESIGNER AND DIGITAL CONTENT PRODUCER

Michael is a CLIO award winning designer and digital content producer. He also has a background in photography, portraiture and short format filmmaking. Michael has an extensive design and branding background in developing national sports and event identities for MLB and the NHL. His work has received international exposure and has been featured on Brand New, HOW Design, the Smithsonian Channel, IFC, Good Morning America and CNN.

EXTENDED BIOGRAPHY

Michael Raisch is currently the Senior Designer and New Media Director at Fanbrandz, a sports branding agency that partners with Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League on franchise and special event branding programs.

Michael’s design career began at ABC Network Television in 2003 where he interned alongside the network's print group and was later hired as a freelance designer. He established an annual contract to photograph the events in ABC Super Sign located in Times Square surrounding their televised program “Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve” for five seasons.

In 2003 he founded and launched Raisch Studios, a creative studio that has since produced photographic tributes, time-lapse and short format digital films. Most notably, the Smithsonian Channel, and Pipeline 39 Entertainment contacted Michael to film and contribute to their televised piece on the installation of the Spire atop One Word Trade Center. Michael’s camera work and time lapse can be seen in their documentary film “Crowning New York” airing September 2014. Michael also recently designed the branding program for Soledad O’Brien’s panel discussion 'Black in America' streamed live by Google. 

 

In 2005 Michael joined the studio of Frederick & Froberg Design Offices where he worked as a graphic designer for seven years. He developed the club identities and uniforms of the Tampa Bay Rays, and other Major League Franchises. In 2012 Michael was hired to assist in the opening of Fanbrandz. His current projects there include the branding work for the MLB 2017 World Series. In 2013 with the Fanbrandz studio he developed a special edition baseball cap developed with artist Drake. Michael's work has been featured on HOW Design, Brand New, Design Week UK and The Guardian. In 2015 Michael and his creative team at Fanbrandz received their third Clio Sports Award in the sports category for the 2016 NHL Nashville All-Star Identity.

Aside from his professional contributions to the field, Michael's personal passion for American history and global events continues to inspire his work at Raisch Studios. In April 2016 his original black and white photography work documenting the details of post-9/11 Lower Manhattan streetscapes was acquired by the National 9/11 Museum and Memorial. His work can be seen in the official September 11th Artist Registry. Months later he collaborated with the 9/11 Museum to retrace the story of the delivery bike memorial in a digital exhibition.
